TRX suspension training can provide an alternative method of training to gym goers wishing to vary their training regime to keep muscles guessing and to maintain motivation levels.

TRX is a commerical name given to a type of suspension training that involves the use of ropes or bands suspended above the head. Invented by an ex-marine, it is considered by many as one of the most revolutionary techniques in gym training in years. The use of bands, suspended from above, serve as training aids in which many different exercises can be performed.

These exercises can range from suspended press-ups with the feet in the straps, chest press, pull-ups, twisting exercises that focus on the core, assisted squats and lunges.
